Good Friday morning to you! I pray that despite the chilly weather you are warm with your family and friends and, most importantly, warm in the grace and love of Jesus Christ! Just a few thoughts to share with you today...
We are continuing to make updates on the [2]church website (a reminder that on most, if not all, of these Cyber Saints you can click on the photo to enter the church website). A few weeks ago we added the option of downloading (or listening via streaming audio) messages from previous Sundays. Follow the link on the home page to access these files (we will probably have about one month's worth of messages accessible at any given time). This week we also added a page to download the study sheets from the Revelation Bible Study. Very soon we will have a form for you to download for Little Disciples Summer Day Camp. Don't see something on the church website that you'd like to see? Let us know and we can see what we can do.
Kindergarten Roundup
As we turn the calendar's page from January to February it's time for Kindergarten Roundup for the 2010-11 school year. Kindergarten Roundup is February 11. Your child (or that of a friend / relative) needs to have been born before August 1, 2005 in order to be old enough for Kindergarten. Call the school office at 483-9371 for more information. Spread the word about the ministry of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School.
School Kids Sing in Church
Speaking of Kindergarten, our Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade classes will be singing at the 8:45 Worship Service this coming Sunday. It's always a joy to see our school kids share the love of Jesus Christ as they sing in worship. I'm sure you will enjoy it as well.
Exciting Sporting Action
No, I'm not talking about Super Bowl XLIV here (for a handful of us the Super Bowl won't be as exciting as it almost would have been....but I digress!). Our Varsity Basketball teams are in the LSAA tournament, playing in the semi-finals tomorrow. The girls play at 8:30 a.m. and the boys play at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Both games will be at Wynecken (US 27 on the Allen / Adams County Line). If - no, _when_ - they win their games on Saturday they will be playing in the championship game on Sunday (girls at 1:00 and boys at 3:00 p.m.) - the Sunday games at Concordia Lutheran High School. Go Bulldogs!
New SBL Logo
You may have heard or read bits and pieces about a new logo for the entire Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church & School ministry family. We are finally at the point to officially roll it out! Watch for an announcement about it after the worship services on Sunday. I'm excited about it because I think we have captured in visual form a great descriptive picture about Suburban Bethlehem. Watch for more this Sunday!
May our Lord Jesus continue to bless you and keep you in the love of Jesus Christ. I'll see you in His house this Sunday!
